This whimsical fifth birthday was nothing short of magical. As soon as the little party guests entered it was like they were in a fairytale, they were met with purple fairy wings set at each setting along with custom fairy wands within their thank you gift bags!

When our client, affectionately known as Poppy’s Mum asked me to create a magical fairy garden party for her little girl’s 5th birthday, I was super excited and secretly wished to be transported into those mystical wonderlands instantly. There is something incredibly captivating about the idea of an enchanted fairy garden.

On this occasion I had the great pleasure in assisting with sourcing a venue and entertainment, aswell as coordinating the catering, furniture hire and table styling, gifts and a beverage station. We chose the Whitfords Family Centre, which was the perfect location – a stones throw from Poppy’s school. It also provided us a wonderful space to create an indoor tea party featuring moss bunnies, and flowers of every description. It was such a wonderful celebration that I hope is etched in Poppy’s memory forever.

I like to use my imagination and put extra effort into decorating a table. On this occasion, I chose a palette of four different colours, I used a mix of purple, pink, red and green. And presented beautiful bright flowers in glass vases down the centre of the table, aswell as some purple butterfly’s. Green moss bunnies stood tall on either side of the florals. The glittered purple fairy wings were a hit with all the party guests!

What’s not to love with the whimsical decor and magic fairy dust? Mel from The Peppertree and She delivered the magic with this statement piece. Mel handmade this dramatic backdrop with silk flowers and various types of greenery! If you look closely you may even see the magical fairy dust!

One of our favourite party trends is a creative DIY drink station that keeps party-goers not only hydrated but also adds a bit of extra fun to the party! We made sure only the very best drinks for fairies was featured: Fruity Fairy Fizz, and Pineapple Fairy Punch. Milk bottles dressed with a fun fairy bottle and a striped paper straw fit for our favourite little fairy’s!

I was so thrilled that Alison from Just Add Confetti could create some stylish event stationery for the celebration. Alison worked her magic with these milk and water bottle labels.

A celebration isn’t a party without entertainment right? We had the great pleasure of coordinating Fairy Princess Violet, from Unreal Kids Parties Perth to visit Poppy and all her friends. A Fairy party with Unreal Kids Parties Perth is every little fairy lovers dream! Poppy and her little fairy friends stepped into a world where dreams came true and pixie dust was in the air when Fairy Princess Violet became life-sized so she could play with Poppy and her new friends!

The food table was a stunning sight set against a timber backdrop adorned with lush floral arrangements. Delicious food lovingly created by my favourite Chef in town! When designing the enchanted fairy garden party menu we got creative and drew inspiration from all our high tea favourites:

  • butterfly cupcakes
  • enchanted chocolate chip muffins
  • fairy bread lamingtons
  • fruit salad cups
  • pinwheel sandwiches, and
  • sausage rolls

I had the great pleasure of teaming up with Lisa from Cakes to Celebrate by Lisa who created the most delicious cookies for the thank you gift bags. On this occasion we added custom sequinned fairy wands and round cookies etched with the words Poppy is 5, wrapped in cellophane to the beautiful personalised gift bags.

So there you have it, Poppy’s fabulous fifth birthday celebration featuring an enchanted fairy garden. This party truly captured the magic and whimsy of being five years old. If you want to give your favourite little fairy a magical-inspired party they will get to flutter and fly about why not create one just like this one for your next little party! You are most welcome to use any of the above ideas. Alternatively, I’d be delighted to do all the hard work for you! Hosting a child’s birthday party is no mean feat, as any parent can confirm. There are so many things to organise. Wouldn’t it be great if you could get rid of at least some part of the mammoth task by outsourcing it? All it takes to get the party started is a phone call to me on 0424 728 798, or the click of the mouse to our enchanted fairy garden page to see all the inclusions or to our contact page. I would love to create a joyful and memorable party for you and your little one!
