I was thrilled when Kate contacted me to plan her daughter’s birthday celebration. Little Neve turned five in June, and she couldn’t wait to host all her little friends at her very own princess party.
Neve’s fifth birthday was the perfect occasion to go all out and create a modern princess party! I was absolutely delighted I was given the opportunity to plan and style a princess-inspired party. I wanted to capture lots of girly details in all elements of the party. I knew I needed to create something truely magical, a royal event, fit for a beautiful princess. My heart was set on traditional princess decor straight from her favourite fairytale! I like to use my imagination and put extra effort into decorating a table. On this occasion, I chose a palette of three different colours, pretty pinks, white and elegant touches of gold.
The table was set with pink round paper plates, and topped with a pink and gold confetti plate. The wooden cutlery was set on white confetti napkins. Every pink paper cup was topped with a gold paper straw. The water bottles featured the number five. The centrepieces were posies of white and pink roses and pink peonies, and gold candle holders with flickering tea lights, aswell as pink and gold confetti.
Designing event stationery is one of my most favourite parts to party planning. I simply love stationery and believe if you choose well, it can really create the WOW-factor! I had the great pleasure of working with Alison from Just Add Confetti again. On this occasion Alison created water bottle labels, food labels, a mini sign for the food table and party bag labels.
Food is very important for beautiful little princesses, we created a delicious menu that not only satisfied their hunger but excited their tastebuds. We couldn’t resist adding a lot of pink to the menu. The menu created by our resident Chef, Tony Craven was as follows:
- oh so sweet scones
- pretty fruit cups
- pretty pink cupcakes
- princess finger sandwiches
- princess fruit wands
- royal ham and cheese tarts
We had the great pleasure of having Jodi from A Slice Above create the incredible pretty pink, golden masterpiece. The birthday cake was a heavenly vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream, topped with an incredible crown fit for a beautiful little princess.
Little Neve was eager to show her gratitude to each little party guest. I organised a gift station where Neve’s little friends could collect their thank you gift. We created twenty princess gifts, complete with a star sequinned princess wand, and an iced crown cookie in a white paper bag topped it with a cute personalised tag. The six little pirate guests received a foam pirate sword, and an iced pirate ship cookie in a white bag topped with a cute personalised tag.
While dancing through this glamorous partyscape, if you were dazzled by all the pretty pink details why not create a princess party for your favourite princess! You are most welcome to use any of the precious princess party ideas.
Alternatively, I’d be delighted to do all the hard work for you! Hosting a child’s party is no mean feat, as any parent can confirm. There are so many things to organise. Wouldn’t it be great if you could get rid of at least some part of the mammoth task by outsourcing it? All it takes to get the party started is a phone call to me on 0424 728 798, or the click of the mouse to our contact page. I would love to create a joyful and memorable party for you and your little one!
