organise party bags for your next little party!

the final step as suggested in the 10 steps to planning a fabulous little party is to organise party bags.

Party bags are always a big hit at children’s parties! They no longer have to be a standard plastic bag filled with lollies. You can get creative with this and provide your little party guests with something unique like an iced cookie, a toy, a plant, a framed photo of the little party guest with the birthday boy or girl. Or buy a paper bag, top it with a stylish tag and fill them with all sorts of goodies!

I promise you – you can create unique take home gifts and favours quite easily. At my son, Jack’s 5th superhero-inspired celebration, one of the birthday party activities was the little party guests decorated superhero masks which they took home, along with a cute Captain America-inspired party bag.

A great idea that I am yet to put in play for a party is to tie a bundle of crayons to the bottom of a helium balloon with a colourful ribbon. The crayons act as a paperweight, and will be such a fun and colourful gift that is sugar free!

Practical, ‘sugar-free’ thank you gifts are becoming increasingly popular, and really quite easy to achieve. Steer clear of the lolly isle, and pick up a selection of some of the following items: balloons, bouncy balls, bubbles, crayons, matchbox cars, pencils, play doh, silly straws, slinkies, stickers, theme toys, yo yo’s. The ideas for filling party bags are endless.

You can also do your bit for the environment, and bypass the plastic bags that will end up in land fill and opt for my favourite – a paper bag! You can easily dress these up with a fun and colourful sticker or tag. You can take it that extra step further by personalising it.  If you have limited time, why not provide the paper bag to the little party guests along with a bunch of crayons, pencils and textas for them to decorate! Fabric bags are another cute option aswell as noodle boxes.
