I love the quote by Winston Churchill: we make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.
I feel incredibly blessed to have a generous and loving husband, and two wonderfully caring and compassionate sons. A little family that I am very proud of and love dearly. I am also grateful that not only do I have the luxury to be at home with my children during this season of them being so little, but I also have the opportunity to use my skills and passion to help others to celebrate life with their little ones. I feel really privileged to lead the life I am living, and would love to take it that one step further by using my business to help those less fortunate.
I was particularly inspired by Harry and Meghan’s show stopping royal wedding preacher, Bishop Michael Curry. I can’t imagine any of you would have missed THE wedding of the year, but just in case you did, or maybe you would like a recap of his message, here is the part I found the most inspiring:
Imagine a world where love is the way.
Imagine our homes and families when love is the way.
Imagine neighbourhoods where love is the way.
Imagine governments and nations where love is the way.
Imagine business and commerce when love is the way.
Then no child would go to bed hungry again!
Love is the way that poverty will become history.
What a wonderful message about love, bringing families together, aswell as the community, and the world at large. Ending poverty; potentially it’s something we all hope for, but is it likely to happen? I believe it can. And it starts with us, we can make a difference in our little family, in our neighbourhood and our community.
It saddens me to hear about little ones are living a life where sickness or poverty plays a leading role. I really believe together we can make a difference in their lives. A little bit of love can go a long way.
We are really pleased with the annual charity event we host, Jack’s Lemonade Stand, which brings our little community together to assist the little ones in Bali. I am eager to help little ones in Australia too! I’d love to assist a charity organisation by providing some extra awareness and financial support. But which one? This is where you come in! Can you help us, please?
my little party australia is on the hunt for a charity organisation we can support. We are looking to support a cause that takes care of Australian children. If you know one that you would like to recommend, please let me know by commenting below, or sending me a message via our contact page.
